Welcome to Legacy-Ministries.com! This is the online home of Legacy Ministries Inc., a Wichita, KS based ministry committed to knowing and sharing the love of Jesus Christ through creativity and community. Since 2004, LMI has been connected to Church of the Savior, a nondenominational Christian fellowship located in Wichita, Kansas. Legacy Ministry hosts art and music camps for kids of all ages and diverse backgrounds, from Native American youth on a Ute reservation in Southern Colorado to homeless children in Kansas City, Missouri, to juvenile offenders from a local rehabilitation program. We follow up with ongoing weekly ministry with the Wichita kids in detention.
LMI also ministers to a neighborhood in need of care through the “Growing Together Community Garden” in South-Central Wichita and through the new Legacy House at 945 S. Wichita. This 125 year old house is being renovated and refurbished to become a center for sharing the love of Christ with local residents. This will happen through a host of creative activities including art and music lessons, tutoring and counseling, prayer and Bible study groups, a live-in staff of community organizers and ministers, and much more.
